THALES ALENIA SPACE...
In the conventional system approach, image stability requirements are met constraining the platform and instruments to a very quiet thermo-mechanical environment. Major limitations come from the difficulties to develop low noise reaction wheels and the huge mass penalty of a cold gas micropropulsion solution. For the GEO-HR mission, which targets 6-10 m spatial resolution from GEO, an active line of sight control is considered as a candidate solution.

SAVOIR has produced a set of generic specification under the form of documents, based on some physical architecture of equipment that was state of the art at that time. The new functional model based approach is more based on functional chains and models. It is expected that modelling the SAVOIR avionics architecture and generic specification using the MBSE techniques, in particular Arcadia method and Capella tool, will allow to have an innovative standpoint on the SAVOIR standardisation.

Model based approaches have proved to be efficient in supporting engineering activities, models replacing traditional document-based approaches. Nevertheless even in most advanced deployments, a lot of engineering artifacts are textual either because the return on investment of introducing models is too low on this particular case or because the information is more efficiently expressed in natural language even if consistency and correctness issues appears.
Thales Alenia Space
- Enforce the use of the physical engineering model that TAS-F already has by sub-system architects in order to have the model as a central source of truth
- Produce an interactive representation of the model allowing its consultation without having to install dedicated modelling tools
- Produce trend graphs on system budgets
- Produce document generation capability to export graphs and tables to the system and subsystem budget reports
Thales Alenia Space
The study takes place in the context of the space environment remediation. Tackling the issue of space debris is becoming more and more critical as it becomes more dangerous for existing and future space missions. Solutions must be found to ensure the security of space missions security and a clean space environment. Laser pressure solutions are considered promising as they only using momentum transfer to perform debris manoeuvres to avoid collisions. This means that no additional debris is generated using this technique.

THALES ALENIA SPACE...
Increasingly demanding space-based applications require a large primary mirror diameter, on which the optical instrument resolution depends. However, the mass and volume of a monolithic primary mirror would dramatically increase along with its size, which, in addition to cost and technical issues, is also limited by the available volumen in the launch vehicle fairing.

This study aimed to achieve the following objectives:
-
To anticipate the security needs and requirements of future space missions (Earth observation, communication, navigation, science, exploration, etc.) with respect to architectures considered for future missions.
-
To build an advanced security architecture portfolio embedding state-of-the-art security concepts, technics, technologies, components and solutions.
