In this study different types of regolith analogs shall be heated by microwave energy and the process shall be optimized for power efficiency. Solar Cell Interconnector Design Optimization for Surviving Harsh Fatigue Environments
Recent extended LEO qualification programs revealed marginalities heritage interconnect design. In order to overcome this issue new designs have to be developed and verified. Although nominal loop design already demonstrated to be suitable for several mission environment, it is also evident that when operated outside the nominal design range could fail earlier than expected.
 
The activity will include analysis and experimental verification of the PVA and in particular of the solar cell interconnnector.

High Power GaN C-band Transmit/Receive Module Demonstrator
Next generation of C-band SAR utilising Digital Beam Forming (DBF) techniques allow significant coverage improvements at high resolution as confirmed in several ESA studies in the field. Several TRP studies in the field of Digital Beam Forming (DBF) have confirmed the feasibility to achieve 400km swath width at 5m x 5m resolution, while Sentinel-1 achieves currently 80km at 5m x 5m resolution. The DBF technological elements are currently under development in the GSTP activity ?Integrated Tile Demonstrator (ITD)? based on extended Sentinel 1 requirements.

    Currently employed approaches to FDIR development are poorly phased with regard to the main Software Development activities. They have tendency of starting late, awaiting for the system Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) data. If functional FMECA is sometimes available, its update into the physical FMECA is seldom ready for software development. FDIR definition is not adequately synchronised with the nominal Software System behaviour.
