The activity will also provide the capability of monitoring the VHF maritime spectrum both from external interference sources (such as land mobile) as well as intra-system interference caused by VDES different components (such as VDE terrestrial components). The geopolymer building materials should be suitable for3D-printing on the Moon. Since there is a very limited supply of water on the moon, the study also focuses on lunar geopolymers with a reduced amount of water in the recipes, without the need for raw materials that cannot be resourced locally on the Moon. This activity aims to develop a breadboard, using a custom ASIC, capable of providing the necessary clocks and bias voltages to operate the detector as well as providing 4-channel video processing and digitisation, leading to a two-chip (Control ASIC + hyrbid detector) detection system. The design will be split to allow separate or combined use of bias and clock generation and video processing and digitization functions. Today European launchers rely on conventional pyrotechnics that are activated by passing an electric current through a bridge wire which results in local heating. Optopyrotechnics is a replacement technology that uses laser pulses to ignite the key pyro functions. ; Norway GSTP G614-007MM KONGSBERG DEFENCE AND AEROSPACE AS 2014 - 2019 Optopyrotechnics Technology for Next Generation Launchers Challenges and opportunities for satellite communications and navigation augmentation systems in maritime non-exclusive VHF bands The VHF Data Exchange System (VDES) is a future maritime communication system with the principal objective of enhancing maritime communication applications, based on robust and efficient digital transmission with wider bandwidth than Automatic Identification System (AIS), with a data rate up to 32 times the current AIS. As for AIS, VDES is mainly a ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore system. The ship-to-shore system will use the terrestrial VDES infrastructure that will extend the VDES coverage to only around 60 km from the shore. By its nature, the methane molecule represents a mass in carbon and hydrogen. As these two elements are core elements of organic chemistry, they deserve to be seriously studied for the closure of life support system cycles. Unfortunately, today methane is known to be an end-product of the said recycling processes. It will help the European Space Agency (ESA) understand Arctic issues, increase the synergy between ESA activities and Arctic initiatives, and assist ESA in preparing relevant Arctic related programme proposals to meet future requirements.
