CubeSats, due to their compact form factor, are subject to severe size, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints, which pose unique challenges to achieving high-performance, reliable communication links. Addressing these limitations, the project investigated both passive and active beamforming strategies with a focus on system-level integration, power efficiency, and scalability. Significant advances in computer aided design, additive manufacturing and materials science have opened up the possibilities of self-assembly systems, self-healing and material property alterations. 3D printing layer by layer allows complex geometries to be built, with multi-functional properties. These blankets need to be fixed to the S/C structure to withstand launch loads and provide the required thermal performance taking into account field-of-views of instruments and other payloads as well as access constraints. Such structures can be habitats for astronauts, landing pads or spare parts needed during such missions. The idea is to save payload by using the regolith for radiation shielding, protection against micrometeorite impacts or similar applications. Extensive benchmarking showed that nextpnr’s performance is generally comparable to Impulse, though some areas need improvement. The results confirmed nextpnr’s capability to support large FPGAs and perform netlist transformations and placement optimizations. Future improvements may include support for high-speed I/O and SoC, and further placement optimizations. The device is designed to effectively remove fungi, viruses, bacteria, and odors from the air, achieving a purification level of 99.999% and beyond. It shall be installed as an extension of the ECLSS and significantly contributes to the health and well-being of the crew, diminishes the proliferation of unwanted microbial growth in sinks, and enables the extension of disinfection intervals for equipment Austria Discovery S 2022-09 bucher.solutions GmbH 2023 - 2024 Innovative unit for the ECLS System used for air revitalisation focused on air disinfection and cleaning (ADC) - Clean Air in Space Analysis of GNSS spaceborne resilience GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver (such as GPS or Galileo receivers) are vulnerable to RF interference, intentional and un-intentional. Ground GNSS receiver have evolved significantly in the last 10 years to be resilience to such problems. GNSS spaceborne receivers are currently a mission critical element in multiple missions, mainly in LEO orbit, but soon also for GTO and GEO. At the same time the basic architecture adopted does not include (or consider only partially) robustness against RF effects.
