A precursor GSP study (IPRAM) was performed to investigate systems for providing radiation environment specification and warnings for human spaceflight.

While test case definition is test dependent and test performance is human error prone and effort intensive, automated testing proved to be still not reaching a level of abstraction and exhaustiveness to enable significant return on investment.The application of Data Analytics technologies like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or Data Mining to both simulation and test data processing shall provide a level of abstraction and consistency to improve both test automation production and exhaustiveness.

Quantum degenerate gases such as Bose-Einstein Condensates (BECs) are key tools for ultimate precision quantum technologies in space. On earth, gravity prevents long measurement times except in experiments with prohibitively large footprints (10m), however in orbit or in deep space the chilliest terrestrial atomic clouds would take minutes to expand to a radius of 1cm which corresponds to 100km of ballistic free-fall.

The number of RF connector interfaces available for use in the space industry is very limited. The most common and widespread interface is SMA. For high operating frequency, equipment manufacturers typically use the SMA2.4 (up to 50 GHz) and 1.85 (up to 65 GHz). For the last 15 years , Sub Miniature Push-on (SMP) interface has gained a lot of popularity for phased array radars because of its small size and ease of use.

Crew health is a fundamental concern for any long term space mission. Different health-related projects are carried out by space agencies, including: continuous health monitoring (e.g. physiological data monitoring, muscles and bones mass loss studies), medical diagnosis and care using ultrasound. Most of these studies are however conducted independently relying on different assistance and medical systems.

Iodine has been recognised as interesting propellant for electric propulsion applications since it allows to significantly reduce the cost and complexity of the propulsion system due to the fact that it is solid at room temperature and sublimates directly to gas at moderate temperatures. While iodine propellant has many advantages, there are also some challenges to overcome due to the fact that iodine is highly reactive.

The increased need for accurate knowledge of amplitude and phase antenna patterns for a very broad frequency range and over a large thermal range is a reality for a multitude of space applications. Among them are the high accuracy Radio Science Experiments for ranging and radio occultation that require accurate knowledge of the phase information. This enable the characterisation of the thermo-elastic effects provided that test techniques are developed in a temperature range down to -140C.
