The MLA includes in particular a Swiss contribution to the spacecraft system Assembly Integration and Testing (AIT), through activities to be provided by RUAG Schweiz AG (RSSZ) under the authority and responsibility of the CHEOPS spacecraft contractor. ; Switzerland GSTP G612-001SR RUAG SCHWEIZ AG, RUAG SPACE 2015 - 2019 CHEOPS Definition and Implementation Phase - Inclusion of the Provision of Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Services Augmented and Virtual Reality Techniques To Enhance the Execution of Operational Procedures by Astronauts and Spacecraft Operators Augmented reality (AR) displays are image-forming systems that use a set of optical, electronic, and mechanical components to generate images somewhere on the optical path between an observer’s eyes and the physical object to be augmented. AR provides a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment and augments (or supplements) this view with computer-generated input such as sound, video, graphics, 3D objects or GPS data. While similar concepts for large constellations already existed in the past, existing satellite constellations hardly ever feature triple-digit satellite quantities. At the time of writing, the world’s largest constellation is operated by Planet Labs and consists of 190+ Dove spacecraft. Germany Discovery 15/117 TU Braunschweig 2017 - 2019 Advanced Automation Concept for Complex Constellation Management Mission Preparation Environment (MORE) Evolution A recently completed activity in the offline preparation environment for managing the database, procedure and other "static" configuration data, has demonstrated a considerable advances through innovative concepts combined with latest technology, resulting in the MORE framework, specifically including the MORE Data Store (MDS). The success of this study has raised new questions about vunerability of the online system to local, dynamic configuration changes. FORMER INDRA ESPACIO S.A. 2012 - 2018 Prototype of K-Band Ground Station Antenna (6m aperture) for LEO application New Microwave Sampling Concepts for Future TT&C Architectures In summary, this activity used simulated and analysed parameters for each component to define the requirements for each application. For the flight model, the most important parameters are power consumption, cost and mass of the components. The power consumption and mass of components are acquired from the datasheets. Since space qualification is needed for these components the cost estimation is a difficult task. For example, even for the passive component the price difference between non-qualified, qualifiable and qualified devices is rather high. For the reception of the quantum keys telescopes are required that can track LEO satellites, however the high LEO tracking speeds involved often cause unacceptably large tracking errors and the data does not reliably reach the receiver. In the original proposal, ESA stipulated three scenarios which were to be tested: Earth observation, constellation, and exploration missions. These scenarios built upon each other, starting with an Earth observation-centric mission such as the Sentinel missions, before moving to a large constellation. Ultimately, the DTN network from the first two scenarios was expanded to represent a deep-space exploration mission.
