Several TRP studies in the field of Digital Beam Forming (DBF) have confirmed the feasibility to achieve 400km swath width at 5m x 5m resolution, while Sentinel-1 achieves currently 80km at 5m x 5m resolution. The DBF technological elements are currently under development in the GSTP activity ?Integrated Tile Demonstrator (ITD)? based on extended Sentinel 1 requirements. Italy GSTP G611-008ET THALES ALENIA SPACE ITALIA SPA 2016 - 2020 High Power GaN C-band Transmit/Receive Module Demonstrator Receiver techniques for future mass market localisation needs The activity aims to develop techniques (e.g. high sensitivity algorithms, data wipe off for Galileo, optimal data plus pilot combinations etc.) in order to enhance the capability of mass market receivers taking into account their typical resources constraints (limited power, memory, open loop platform etc...). The activity shall investigate the application of these techniques for phase and code tracking down to the detailed design of the techniques for different type of usage and in different type of environment. The works performed by Savoir-Faire, Savoir-IMA and the related industrial activities have not investigated yet the particular impact of a multicore in the hardware topology on the On-Board Software Reference Architecture. The architectural principles are indeed modular enough to minimize the impacts of the use of a new type of processors. Using a multicore (also in the scope of IMA) in this scope is feasible. But specific aspects need to be investigated: Portugal GSTP G617-010SW GMVIS SKYSOFT S.A. 2017 - 2020 Multicore implementation of the On-Board Software Reference Architecture with IMA capability. X-ray Flux Monitor for CubeSats (XFM-CS) X-ray emission plays an important role in characterising and locating energetic eruptions on the surface of the Sun and as a result there is a long history of X-ray imagers and radiometers. X-ray imagers include the SXI imager on recent GOES satellites and the SXT instrument onboard Yohkoh. As an alternative to imagers, whole-disk monitors provide typically higher time resolution a simpler means of capturing the onset and evolution of solar events, and so providing alerts. Monitors (or radiometers) include those on RHESSI and the XRS instrument on GOES satellites. The current approach for automated testing relies on two main strategies: Use exposed interfaces to drive the system under test. The most commonly used interfaces are APIs and the CORBA interfaces to the visualization layer. Image compression can both provide a performance boost and make systems more economical. However, most high-performance compression methods have been tuned to the human eye, rather than developed for machine vision, generating artefacts that although invisible limit the performance of advanced algorithms. Compression targeting AI and high radiometric accuracy applications is needed. Currently, spacecraft operation teams are usually notified of non-nominal conditions when specific system parameters exceed preset threshold values, alerts that do not offer operators a deeper insight into a system’s condition. The Advanced Alarm Management System will: Enhance alarm generation and notification system through advanced processing of the data using industrial grade Complex Event Processing (CEP) technologies. Traditional spacecraft avionics rely on the storage of electrical energy in electrochemical systems (typically secondary batteries) for covering peak energy demands and periods where no electrical energy is generated (Lunar/Martian/cometary night, etc.). These products are currently not often covered by the space industry and access is very limited. As such a new low cost satellite, with turnkey technology could open the market considerably. A new activity, with GSTP Element 2 and Spain, has developed a spacecraft to do just that.
