Objectives

To investigate radiation tolerance of Ultra Wide Band (UWB) transceivers and to design UWB transceiver library cells

Description

In this activity, UWB Transceiver integrated circuits (ICs) will be radiation tested in order to identify their sensitivities. Design changes at technology level (library cells) will be done in order to reduce/nullify the radiation effects on the UWB Transceiver ICs. Proposed tasks:1) To perform radiation testing on current ICs related with UWB technology.2) To upgrade/re-design the UWB library cells for mitigating any possible effect related with radiation results in anticipation to the development of a rad-hard/rad-tol UWB transceiver3) Integration of UWB transceivers in a reliable sensor Network representative of a Space transportation application Activity will be performed in coordination with FLPP
