De-risk assessment: MISSION SPECIFICATIONS AND THERMAL REQUIREMENTS FOR AN EARTH OBSERVATION MISSION BASED ON A HIGH-RESOLUTION OPTICAL PAYLOAD
Objectives

Analyse and fully understand the thermo-mechanical behaviour of iSIM-170 payload and its sensitivity to thermal parameters.

To mature the baseline design of the payload’s optomechanical and thermal subsystems.

To refine internal optical-related activities such that variations in the thermal environment have a minimum impact on outcomes.

Description

Optical high-resolution payloads require very high structural and thermal stability to work at their top performance. Performing a thermal analysis and being able to perform De-Risk activities is surely critical for what concerns optical payloads which is a highly competitive market. The proposed activity will help SATLANTIS acquiring more trust from customers and enhance its cache presence in the EO small satellite market through its core product baseline design upgrading based on ESA support and expertise.
