Preparation of enabling space technologies and building blocks: ORBFIX Phase 2

The increase in the number and complexity of satellite missions, along with their reduction in size impose requirements on the space GNSS receivers that are not fulfilled by current products. The development of a new GNSS receiver with a small size, small power consumption and high performance aims to address this potential market. A set of  requirements for the receiver has been defined. The receiver has been designed and a first iteration has been manufactured. Preliminary tests have been made, including vibration, thermal vacuum, total irradiation dose and proton flux. The prototype test unit passed all preliminary tests and the project reached Test Readiness Review stage.
