SAR interferometry (InSAR) is a satellite technology based on radar sensors that can be used to support the study and modelling of terrain movements such as tectonic motions associated with faults, and volcanic processes related to magma movement. The main advantages of InSAR is the synoptic view of wide areas, and the periodic surveying that guarantees long-term monitoring and time series analysis. IUU fishing poses an enormous threat to the conservation and management of the dwindling fish stocks, causing multiple adverse consequences for fisheries, coastal and marine ecosystems and for the people who depend on these resources. In this pilot study, EO information in combination with in-situ measurements and modelling was applied for investigating and monitoring landslide processes in this mountain region. In this project, we aim at developing the tools to detect them and monitor their activity with time, using optical sensors. Our particular CS approach focussed predominantly on the use of ‘human pattern recognition’, utilising established image sorting and classification platforms. The general aim is to assess the benefit of the LEO+GEO satellite system for the understanding of local to regional scale tropospheric composition with a focus on Europe. The ISOTROP consortium involved researchers from the European institutes CNRS-GAME, TNO, NILU, FMI, and was led by KNMI. Today, in spite of the successful application of the Montreal Protocol and its amendments, the atmospheric halogen loading is still above natural levels and will remain so until the middle of this century. The crowdsourced data and information collected ranged from real time pollution data from cars (via the The Floow's technologies who have hundreds of thousands of users on four continents), to crowdsourced geotagged images from sites like Panoramio, Flicker and Twitter, to social media messages (e.g. UK Discovery 13-038-b University of Sheffield 2015 - 2016 Crowd4Sat: Crowdsourcing for Observations from Satellites Pagination « First First page ‹‹ Previous page 1 2 3 ›› Next page Last » Last page Filter by Programme Discovery (26) Filter by Start Year 2016 (9) 2012 (5) 2014 (3) 2015 (3) 2017 (3) 2011 (1) 2013 (1) 2018 (1) Filter by End Year 2017 (9) 2018 (9) 2015 (3) 2016 (3) 2012 (1) 2014 (1) Filter by Keywords Alcantara (5) Weather (5) Disaster Management (4) Space applications (4) GNSS (3) SAR (3) Crowdsourcing (2) Earth observation (2) Emergency (2) Ionosphere (2) Ocean (2) Radar (2) Software (2) Space Application (2) Troposphere (2) Africa (1) Antarctica (1) Arctic (1) Biomass (1) Blue Economy (1) Brazil (1) Burning (1) CH4 (1) Climate (1) CO2 (1) Combressive Sensing (1) Communication (1) E2E Simulators (1) EarthCare (1) Fire (1) Fishing (1) GEROS (1) GNSS-R (1) HAPS (1) Ice (1) Illegal fishing (1) Indonesia (1) InSAR (1) Interdisciplinary (1) IR (1) Irrigation (1) ISS (1) IUU (1) Land (1) Landslides (1) Land Slides (1) LEO (1) Model (1) Modelling (1) Model Software (1) Ozone (1) Particulates (1) Payload (1) Pseudo Satellites (1) Remote Sensing (1) Retrieval algorithms (1) Sampling (1) SAOCOM-CS (1) Sentinel (1) Simulator (1) Sounder (1) Space Exploration (1) Space Weather (1) Strategy (1) Stratosphere (1) SWIR (1) Tectonics (1) Telecommunication (1) Water (1) (-) EO (26) Filter by Contractor GMV (2) Airbus Defence & Space (1) Aresys (1) BELG INST SPACE AERONOMY (1) CNR-IFAC (1) E-GEOS (1) European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (1) Forschungszentrum Jülich (1) Imperative Space (1) ISSIA (1) King's College London (1) KNMI (1) National Institute of R&D for Optoelectronics (1) NOVELTIS (1) Plymouth Marine Laboratory (1) Rokubun (1) SATELLITE OCEANOGRAPHIC CONSULTANTS (1) TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF DENMARK (1) TU DELFT (1) UNEP-GRID ARENDAL (1) Université Grenoble Alpes (1) University of Sheffield (1) UNIVERSITY OF ZURICH (1) Univesiry of Leon (1) Univ of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (1) Filter by Country UK (5) Italy (4) Spain (4) France (3) Germany (2) The Netherlands (2) Belgium (1) Denmark (1) Norway (1) Poland (1) Romania (1) Switzerland (1) Filter by Application Domain Generic Technologies (18) Earth Observation (7) Telecommunications (1) Filter by Technology Domain 6 - RF Subsystems, Payloads and Technologies (2) 9 - Mission Operation and Ground Data Systems (1) 10 - Flight Dynamics and GNSS (1) Filter by Competence Domain 5-Radiofrequency & Optical Systems and Products (2) 8-Ground Systems and Mission Operations (1) Filter by Activity Status Closed (9)
